Hego Haize Albergue Hostel - Zarautz

As budget travelers, we appreciated the convenience of a secure luggage storage area and helpful staff. the option to cook our own meals and the provision of free coffee and tea were a bonus. the six bed room was spacious, with beds not crowded together, and each room had its own dedicated bathroom. the owner was responsive via email and even provided fresh towels daily. the location near the beach, bus stops to Bilbao and San Sebastian, and supermarkets was perfect.

Felt completely satisfied, no reason to complain.

I stayed at a great hostel in Zarautz and got excellent value for my money. The room was spacious, clean, and I had my own private bathroom. The location was convenient, and the staff treated me with the utmost care and attentiveness.

Breakfast delights with more variety would have made my stay even better.

The people I met were great. Close to useful stores. Easy to get back on the camino. The bed was fine. Spacious six bed room. Beds not close together. Each bedroom had own bathroom. Common room with fridge. Straightforward check-in. Helpful hospitalero. Comfortable environment. Good location for travel needs. Sun shines bright. Able to hang out washing.

There were instances of noise disturbances caused by other guests, as there was no overnight staff to enforce quiet hours.

this hostel was a pleasant surprise. after my previous stay in zarautz, i didn't expect much, but galerna aterpetxea exceeded my expectations. the manager was incredibly helpful, the accommodation was clean and secure, and the nearby restaurant was delicious. definitely recommend!

kitchenette was lacking.

The nearest airport was so conveniently far that I could enjoy the sound of airplanes landing all day long. The promenade was 18 km away, giving me the perfect excuse to stay in and avoid exercising.

Such a shame that there were no pillow menus at the hotel. How am I supposed to sleep comfortably without a selection of luxurious pillows to choose from?
